SSC CHSL Syllabus 2018, Check SSC 10+2 Exam Pattern 2018:
There will be conducted two tiers for final selection. Qualify candidates in SSC CHSL Tier-I exam will be invited for Tier-II examination. The Tier-I is objective question paper type exam and Tier-II is descriptive paper. After qualifying Tier-III, shortlisted candidates will be called for Tier-III. The Tier-3 will be for Typing Test and Skill test according to posts wise.

- The SSC conducts CHSL Tier-I Exam for 200 marks.
- Total 100 questions consist from four sections.
- Paper will be made of General Intelligence, English, and Quantitative Aptitude & General Awareness.
- The exam is an objective type exam.
- Duration of the Exam is 60 minutes.
- There will be negative marking for wrong answers i.e. 0.50.
SSC CHSL Tier-II Exam Pattern:

- Tier-II Paper will be a descriptive Paper of 100 Marks in ‘Pen and Paper Mode. The duration of the paper would be for one hour (20 minutes compensatory time will also be provided to the candidates mentioned in Para 7 above).
- This paper has been introduced to assess the writing skills of the candidates which are necessary in Government jobs. The Paper would comprise writing of an Essay of 200-250 words and Letter/ Application of approximately 150-200 words.
- The minimum qualifying marks in Tier-II would be 33 percent. The performance in Tier II would be included for preparing merit.
- The paper will have to be written either in Hindi or in English. A part paper written in Hindi and Part in English will not be evaluated.

SSC CHSL Exam Syllabus 2018- General Awareness:
General Awareness: In this section, questions will be asked from History, Culture, Geography, Economic Scene, General policy and scientific research. Also the aspirants need to be aware of the surroundings and current happenings around the nation.
SSC 10+2 Syllabus for Quantitative Aptitude:
Number System: Percentages, Ratio and Proportion, Square roots, Averages, Interest (Simple and Compound), Profit and Loss, Discount, Partnership Business, Mixture and Allegation, Time and distance, Time and work.
Algebra: Basic algebraic identities of School Algebra and Elementary surds (simple problems) and Graphs of Linear Equations.
Geometry: Triangle and its various kinds of centers, Congruence and similarity of triangles,Circle and its chords, tangents, angles subtended by chords of a circle, Common tangents to two or more circles.
Menstruation: Triangle, Quadrilaterals, Regular Polygons, Circle, Right Prism, Right Circular Cone, Right Circular Cylinder, Sphere, Hemispheres, Rectangular Parallelepiped, Regular Right Pyramid with triangular or square Base.
Trigonometry: Trigonometric ratios, Complementary angles, Height and distances (simple problems only) Standard Identities like sin20 + Cos20=1 etc.
Statistical Charts: Use of Tables and Graphs: Histogram, Frequency polygon, Bar diagram, Pie-chart.
